Evangelical, Pentecostal or Protestant · Step 8 of 8Coffee and next steps
You don’t have to agree with everything to take a next step.
In short. The Church calls baptized Protestants brothers and sisters in the Lord.1 A next step can be small: one Mass, one coffee with a priest; and a valid baptism is never repeated.2
Key points
- Baptized Christians are rightly called brothers and sisters in the Lord.1
- Much that is true and holy exists outside the visible Catholic Church.3
- Baptism cannot be repeated.2
Try this, this week
- Read Luke 24:13-35.
- Find a parish and note one Sunday Mass time.
- Email the parish office: “I’m a Protestant Christian with some questions. Could I meet a priest for coffee?”
“When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave it to them. Their eyes were opened and they recognized him; then he vanished out of their sight.”
Common questions
Remember: Bible first, then the table.
