Acts 17:32 in the Athens step now quotes the World English Bible (“We want to hear you again concerning this”) instead of the Douay-Rheims wording.
Translation notes corrected. The Library said the Bible reader used the Douay-Rheims for all 73 books. The primary text is the World English Bible, Catholic edition; the Douay-Rheims is one tap away. The Psalms use the World English Bible too, with modern numbering and the Douay number in brackets. Only Esther 11 to 16 (the Greek additions, numbered separately in the Douay) and a few labeled quotations use the Douay-Rheims wording.
Verse labels on the early Church timeline now name the translation actually quoted.
Pronouns referring to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are now capitalized in our own text. Quotations keep their source’s style.
Questions without a matching answer from a trusted Catholic teacher were taken out of view until one is found; 20 new answered questions were added.
Content labels added to Case and question pages: Church teaching, Scripture, Theological interpretation, History, Disputed question.
Spelling standardized to American English in our own text. Quotations are unchanged.
