In short: Not the hell of the damned. After His death, Jesus went to the realm of the dead to open heaven for the just who’d died before Him. CCC 633 CCC 637

Scripture calls the realm of the dead “hell” (Sheol or Hades) because those there were deprived of the vision of God, whether good or evil. CCC 633
The dead Christ went down to the realm of the dead and opened heaven’s gates for the just who had gone before Him. CCC 637
