In short: Every person deserves respect, compassion and sensitivity, never unjust discrimination. And like all of us, everyone is called to chastity. CCC 2358 CCC 2359
The answer, in writing
People with deep-seated homosexual tendencies must be accepted with respect, compassion and sensitivity, and every sign of unjust discrimination must be avoided. CCC 2358
On sexual acts, the teaching is clear: basing itself on Scripture, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,” because they close the sexual act to the gift of life and do not come from the complementarity of man and woman; “under no circumstances can they be approved.” CCC 2357
The Church calls the inclination itself objectively disordered, and for many it is a trial. CCC 2358
Like everyone, they are called to chastity, supported by friendship, prayer and grace. CCC 2359
Every person is loved by God, first and last. The call to chastity is for all of us, married or single. If you’re carrying this, you belong here, and you don’t have to carry it alone.
