The Catechism admits that some people stop praying because they think their petition isn’t heard. CCC 2734

It asks two honest questions: why do we think we weren’t heard, and how is prayer actually “efficacious”? CCC 2734

Our words

Sometimes the answer is no, sometimes it’s not yet, and sometimes God is answering a deeper prayer than the one we said. Jesus prayed in the garden for the cup to pass, and it didn’t. The Father still heard Him.
