The villages of western France

Louis was a poor priest who spent his life preaching parish missions in the countryside of western France.1

Bishops kept throwing him out of their dioceses for being too unusual.1

So he went to Rome, and the pope named him a missionary apostolic and sent him back.

Patronage No official patronage we can cite yet. The Church remembers him as a great preacher of total consecration to Jesus through Mary.

His book True Devotion to Mary taught a total consecration to Jesus through Mary, and many popes have practiced it.1

He also founded communities of priests and sisters and wrote hundreds of hymns.1
