What they believe, in five minutes

Going to Mass with them

Words you’ll hear
The sacraments are signs of grace instituted by Christ, and the Eucharist is called thanksgiving. CCC 1131 CCC 1328 Confession is the sacrament of forgiveness through a priest. CCC 1424
Why they care about Sunday, confession and Fridays
Sunday Mass is how Catholics keep Jesus’ “do this in memory of Me.” CCC 2180 Confession at least once a year and penance on Fridays are small, regular ways of returning to God. CCC 2042 CCC 1438
Weddings, baptisms and funerals
