A dinner in Emmaus
Two friends walked home after the worst weekend of their lives, and a stranger joined them. They only understood who he was when he broke bread at their table.
“When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave it to them. Their eyes were opened and they recognized him; then he vanished out of their sight.”

Maybe it’s your girlfriend, your husband, your best friend, or your kid who suddenly started going to Mass. You love them, and now part of their life makes zero sense to you. Good news: the core of it fits on one page. Grab a coffee.

That’s why Sunday matters so much to them, why they kneel, why they go quiet in front of a crucifix. You don’t have to believe any of it. But understanding it is a really good way to love them.
What’s the one thing about their faith you’ve wanted to ask, but haven’t?
Try this, this week
- Ask them which of the six points matters most to them, and why.

Your real next step
