In short: Miracles aren’t God breaking His own rules. They’re signs, and Jesus used them to show the Kingdom had arrived. CCC 547 CCC 156

Jesus’ mighty works and signs show that the Kingdom is present in Him and that He is the promised Messiah. CCC 547

Miracles, together with other signs, are “motives of credibility” that show faith is not a blind impulse. CCC 156

If God made nature, He isn’t breaking in from outside. Miracles are the Author writing something new into His own story.
