The royal court of Poland

Casimir was the son of the king of Poland, raised for power.1

At thirteen his father sent him with an army to take the throne of Hungary.1

The campaign collapsed, and Casimir decided he would not fight a war he thought was unjust.

Patron of Poland and Lithuania1

01St. Casimir

A prince who prayed

He lived simply at court, gave to the poor and prayed for hours.1

He died of tuberculosis in his twenties, and Lithuania and Poland honor him as patron.1

Live it this week

Say no to one thing that isn’t right

Casimir refused to go along with an unjust war even under his father’s pressure. This week, say a calm, clear no to one thing at work or among friends that you know isn’t right.
