The Church calls the classic proofs for God “converging and convincing arguments,” not lab proofs, and says they let us reach real certainty. CCC 31

They start from two places: the world around you, and you yourself. CCC 31

From motion, change, contingency and the order and beauty of the world, a person can come to know God as the origin and goal of everything. CCC 32

So no, you can’t put God in a test tube. But you can follow the clues honestly, the way a good detective does, and see where they all point.
