If God exists, why doesn’t He make it obvious?

In short: Even the Bible calls God hidden. He leaves enough light to find Him, and enough room for you to choose. Isaiah 45:15

Isaiah says it out loud: “Most certainly you are a God who has hidden yourself.” Isaiah 45:15 [Douay Isaias 45:15]
The Church teaches that faith is a free act, and nobody may be forced to believe against their will. CCC 160
God calls people to serve Him in spirit and in truth; they are bound in conscience, but not coerced. CCC 160
Love can’t be forced. If God overwhelmed you, you couldn’t freely say yes. So He leaves enough light to find Him, and enough room for you to choose.
